Terms & Conditions
Last updated 28 September 2026
Thank you for choosing Perfection Jewellery Ltd. These terms and conditions set out how we work with you: how orders are placed and confirmed, how our prices are set, how you can pay, how we deliver, and what happens if something needs to be returned. They apply to every order and every account we hold, whether you buy through our trade portal, by email, by telephone or through one of our representatives.
Nothing here is meant to be complicated. If anything is unclear, call us on +44 (0)20 8519 5999 or email info@perfectionjewellery.com and we will be glad to help.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
We are Perfection Jewellery Ltd, a manufacturer and wholesaler of fine diamond jewellery established in 1960. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 0648055. Our VAT number is GB246 1837 54.
Registered office: Gable House, 239 Regents Park Road, London N3 3LF, United Kingdom. Trading address and showroom: 142A Hermon Hill, London E18 1QH, United Kingdom.
You can contact us by telephone on +44 (0)20 8519 5999 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm UK time) or by email at info@perfectionjewellery.com. If we need to contact you, we will do so by telephone or by writing to the email or postal address you gave us with your order.
2. These terms
These terms and conditions apply to every order for goods or services placed with us, whether through our online trade portal, by email, by telephone, in person or through one of our sales representatives, and to every payment made to us online or by card. By placing an order or making a payment you agree to these terms.
We are a trade-only supplier. We sell to jewellers, retailers and other businesses in the jewellery trade, and every order is placed on a business-to-business basis. We do not sell to members of the public. By ordering, you confirm that you are buying for the purposes of your business.
Please read these terms carefully before ordering. We recommend you keep a copy for your records.
3. Our products
Our jewellery is made from precious metals (9ct, 14ct and 18ct gold, platinum, palladium and silver) set with natural diamonds and gemstones, and in some ranges laboratory-grown diamonds. Every item is described with its metal, carat weight and stone details. Where an item contains laboratory-grown diamonds this is stated clearly on the product and on your invoice.
Items are hallmarked by a UK Assay Office where the Hallmarking Act 1973 requires it. How we source our diamonds is set out in the next section.
Photographs and drawings on our website, portal and catalogues are for illustration. Because our jewellery is handmade, small variations in weight, dimensions and stone characteristics from the description are normal and are not a defect. Carat weights are stated as totals and may vary by up to 5%.
Most of our designs are made to order. Made-to-order items are manufactured for you after you order them; typical delivery is around three weeks, and we will tell you if a particular item will take longer.
4. Diamond sourcing: conflict-free and sanctions
We buy our diamonds only from suppliers who take part in the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme and who provide the written warranty adopted by the World Diamond Council (the System of Warranties). In compliance with United Nations resolutions, we confirm that, to the best of our knowledge and on the basis of the written guarantees given to us by our suppliers, the diamonds used in our products are conflict-free: they have not been used to finance conflict and have been bought and sold in accordance with the Kimberley Process.
None of the diamonds in our products, and none of the products containing diamonds that we supply, originated in, were mined in, were processed or manufactured in, or were transited through the Russian Federation. Our goods are therefore not subject to the import restrictions on Russian-origin diamonds in Article 3p of Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 (as amended), nor to the equivalent United Kingdom restrictions under the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (as amended). We will provide a supplier declaration to this effect with any shipment on request, and every invoice we issue carries this statement.
Where an item contains laboratory-grown diamonds, this is stated on the product description and on your invoice, and those stones are not represented as natural.
5. Prices, currency and VAT
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) unless we have agreed to invoice your account in another currency (some overseas trade accounts are invoiced in US dollars, USD). The currency you will be charged in is shown before you confirm an order or a payment.
Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise; VAT is added at the rate in force on the date of invoice. Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown separately before you confirm your order.
Because our jewellery contains precious metals and diamonds, our prices change with the prevailing metal and stone markets. The price that applies to your order is the price quoted or displayed at the time you place it. We take care to make sure prices are correct, but if we discover a genuine pricing error before we dispatch your order we will contact you and you may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund of anything you have paid.
6. Ordering and our contract with you
An order placed through our portal, by email, by telephone or with a representative is an offer to buy. We accept your order, and a contract is formed, when we confirm it in writing, dispatch the goods or issue an invoice, whichever happens first. We may decline an order, for example if an item is unavailable, if we cannot verify your details or payment, or if there has been a pricing error.
Please check your order carefully. Made-to-order items (including ring sizes, metal choices and engraving) are made to your specification, so tell us straight away if anything in your order confirmation is wrong.
7. Payment
We accept payment by debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard and Maestro), by bank transfer to the account details printed on our invoices, and by cheque. Approved account customers may pay on the credit terms stated on their invoice.
Card payments are taken through a secure online payment page provided by our payment service provider, which is certified to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Your card details are entered directly into, and processed by, the payment provider: they do not pass through or get stored on our own systems, and our staff never see your full card number. Card payments may be subject to 3-D Secure (Verified by Visa / Mastercard Identity Check) authentication by your card issuer.
You can pay by card in three ways: at the checkout in our online trade portal, by using a secure payment link that we email to you against an invoice or statement, or over the telephone with a member of our team. Payment links expire after the period stated in the email (normally 30 days). The payment will appear on your card statement as PERFECTION JEWELLERY.
When you pay by card we take payment at the time you complete the payment page. Where an order is paid on account, payment is due by the date shown on the invoice. If a payment is not made when due we may charge interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, suspend further deliveries and withdraw credit terms.
We never ask for your full card details by email. If you receive an email asking for them, do not reply; contact us on the telephone number above.
If you believe a card payment has been taken in error, please contact us first at the details above and we will investigate and, where appropriate, refund you promptly. Any refund is made to the card that was used for the original payment.
8. Delivery
We deliver throughout the United Kingdom and to most countries overseas. UK deliveries are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery or an insured courier and normally arrive the next working day after dispatch. International deliveries are sent by tracked, insured courier (for example FedEx) and normally arrive within 2 to 7 working days of dispatch depending on the destination. Every parcel is insured in transit and needs a signature on delivery.
Items in stock are normally dispatched within 1 to 2 working days. Made-to-order items are dispatched when they are finished, typically within three weeks of your order. We will email you when your order is dispatched with the carrier and tracking number, and again when it is delivered. If we cannot meet a delivery estimate we will tell you as soon as we can.
Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown before you confirm your order. Deliveries outside the United Kingdom may be subject to import duties, taxes and customs charges in the destination country, which are payable by the recipient unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Goods are delivered to the address you gave us. If you have more than one branch, please make sure the correct delivery address is chosen when you order. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to that address (or to a person authorised to sign for them). Please check your delivery on arrival and tell us within 48 hours if anything is missing or damaged.
9. Ownership of the goods
Goods remain the property of Perfection Jewellery Ltd until we have received payment in full for them and for any other sums you owe us. Until then you hold them as our bailee, must keep them separately identifiable and insured, and may sell them only in the ordinary course of your business. We may recover unpaid goods at any time.
10. Goods on approval (appro)
From time to time we send goods to customers on approval so that they can be shown to a customer before purchase. Appro goods remain our property, must be kept insured for their full invoice value while in your possession, and must either be returned to us in their original condition or paid for by the date stated on the appro note. Appro goods that are sold, damaged or not returned by that date will be invoiced to you.
11. Cancelling an order
Stock items: you may cancel an order for a stock item at any time before it is dispatched by contacting us. If it has already been dispatched, please follow the returns section below.
Made-to-order and personalised items: because these are manufactured to your specification, an order cannot be cancelled once production has started, except where the item is faulty or not as described. We will tell you when production is due to start if you ask.
If you cancel an order in time and have already paid for it, we will refund you in full within 14 days, to the method you paid with.
12. Returns and refunds
Faulty or incorrect goods: if an item is faulty, damaged on arrival or not what you ordered, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will arrange a replacement, a repair or a full refund including any delivery charge you paid, at our cost.
Other returns: stock items may be returned for credit within 14 days of delivery provided they are unworn, unaltered, in their original condition and packaging, and you have first contacted us for a returns authorisation. Made-to-order, personalised and specially sourced items cannot be returned unless faulty. We may charge a reasonable handling fee for returns that are not faulty.
How to return: contact us at the details above and we will tell you how to send the item. Returns must be sent by an insured, tracked service (Royal Mail Special Delivery in the UK) and are your responsibility until we receive them. Please include your invoice number and the reason for the return.
Refunds: once we have received and inspected the returned goods we will refund you within 14 days. Refunds are made to the original method of payment; a card payment is refunded to the same card. Account customers may instead choose a credit against their account.
13. Quality, repairs and warranty
We guarantee our jewellery against defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from delivery. This does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, loss of stones through knocks or wear, damage caused by another jeweller, or items that have been resized, altered or repaired elsewhere. Within the guarantee period we will repair or replace a defective item free of charge; outside it we offer a repair service at a quoted price.
14. Our responsibility to you
If we fail to comply with these terms we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our negligence. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in connection with an order is limited to the price paid for that order.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
15. Privacy and data protection
We process the personal information you give us (your name, business, contact details, delivery addresses and order history) to fulfil your orders, take payment, deliver your goods and keep in touch about your account, in accordance with UK data protection law. Card details are processed only by our payment service provider. Full details of what we collect, how we use it and your rights are in our Privacy Policy at perfectionjewellery.com/company/privacy.
16. Using our website and portal
Our website and trade portal are provided for you to find out about and order our products. All content, designs, photographs and trade marks on them belong to Perfection Jewellery Ltd or our licensors and may not be copied or used without our written permission, other than to place orders with us. Portal accounts are personal to your business; keep your login details secure and tell us at once if you think they have been misused.
17. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please tell us. Contact us on +44 (0)20 8519 5999 or at info@perfectionjewellery.com with your invoice number and we will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 10 working days.
18. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable the rest continues to apply. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force when you place an order is the one that applies to it, and the date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed.
